Central Campus/Ross Athletic Campus

 

Intersection Closure - Fifth Avenue and Hill Street Intersection (7 AM, Monday, September 28 - 7 PM, Sunday, October 18)  

The Hill Street and Fifth Avenue intersection will be closed for utility and paving starting Monday, September 28, and will be closed through Sunday, October 18. The following detours will be in place:

• Vehicular and Bicycle Traffic: 

  • Eastbound Hill Street will be detoured south onto South Main Street, east onto East Hoover Avenue, north onto South Division Street, and back east onto Hill Street.

  • Westbound Hill Street will be detoured south onto South Division Street, west onto East Hoover Avenue, and north onto South Main Street back to Hill Street.

  • Southbound South Fifth Avenue will be detoured west onto East Madison Street, south onto South Main Street, east onto East Hoover Avenue, north onto South Division Street, and east back to Hill Street.

• Pedestrian traffic will be maintained and detoured around sidewalk paving work. Please follow the posted detour.

• South Fifth Avenue between East Madison Street and Hill Street, Hill Street between South Main Street and South Fifth Avenue, and Hill Street between South Fifth Avenue and South Division Street will remain accessible to local traffic only.

• Emergency vehicles are advised to follow the posted detour.

Rescheduled: Closure of Packard Street between South State Street and Arch Street (9 am, Monday, September 28 - 12 pm, Thursday, October 1)  

Packard Street will be closed between South State Street and Arch Street for paving from September 28- October 1. The following detours will be in place: 

• Vehicular Traffic Detours

  • Northbound Packard Street vehicles will be detoured west on East Stadium Blvd, then south on South Industrial Hwy, then west on Stimson Street, then north on South State Street back to Packard Street.

  • Southbound Packard Street vehicles will be detoured south on South State Street, then east on Stimson Street, then north on South Industrial Hwy, then east on East Stadium Blvd back to Packard Street.

• Bicycle Detours

  • Northbound Packard Street bicycles will be detoured west on Granger Avenue then north on South State Street back to Packard Street.

  • Southbound Packard Street bicycles will be detoured south on South State Street then east on Granger Avenue back to Packard Street.

• Pedestrian traffic will be maintained on the north side of Packard Street.

• Emergency vehicles are advised to follow the posted detour.

Closure East Ann Street from North Main Street to North Fifth Avenue (7 AM, Monday, September 28 - 5 PM, Friday, November 20)
East Ann Street will be closed from North Main Street to North Fifth Avenue starting Monday, September 28 through Friday, November 20. The following detours will be in place:

• All eastbound vehicle traffic on Ann Street will be detoured north on North Main Street, then east on Catherine Street, then south on Fifth Avenue.

• Westbound Ann Street traffic will be detoured south on Fifth Avenue, then west on Huron Street, then north on North Main Street.

• All southbound traffic on North Fourth Avenue will be detoured west on Catherine Street, then south on North Main Street, then east on Huron Street.

• All northbound vehicle traffic on Fourth Avenue will be detoured west on Huron Street, then north on North Main Street, then east on Catherine Street.

• Pedestrian traffic will be generally maintained with posted detours as needed.

• Emergency vehicles are advised to follow the posted detour.

Single Lane Closures of South State Street between I-94 and Eisenhower (9 AM, Monday, September 28 - 12 PM, Friday, October 16) 

Single lane closures of South State Street between I-94 and Eisenhower will take place Monday, September 28 through Friday, October 16. The following detours will be in place:

• Northbound South State Street will be reduced to one lane of travel between Hilton Blvd and Mall Drive. Only the outside curb lane will be open to traffic.

• Southbound South State Street will be reduced to one lane of travel between Eisenhower Parkway and Briarwood Circle. Only the outside curb lane will be open to traffic.

All center turn lanes and crossovers will be closed along the closure area.
