Graduate Admissions

Students studying at the union

Graduate school applications can be tough to tackle since many elements of the process, from qualifying tests to application deadlines, will depend on the specifics of your program. Fortunately, there are a couple simple steps that will help you get started on this memorable journey.

To begin, be sure to visit Rackham Graduate School, the home of graduate education at the University of Michigan.

To learn about the specific details and statistics of the academic programs offered, feel free to explore the Programs of Study. This web-page will also detail important contacts, application deadlines, and costs of attendance and funding resources.

If you would like to receive additional information on your program of interest, please register  through the prospective student form.

Current UM undergraduates who are underrepresented in their field of study and are interested in pursuing a graduate degree may also be eligible for exciting summer opportunities, such as the Summer Research Opportunity Program (SROP) and the Michigan Humanities Emerging Research Scholars Program (MICHHERS).

For more information on Campus Culture, Housing, Safety, and Community Involvement, visit Grad Life, and listen to what current graduate students have to say.

Whether you’re looking to apply, arrange a self-tour,  or you just want more information about the University,  Rackham Graduate School  is a great place to start!
