Academic Resources

Lecturer in front of class

The resources available to students at the University of Michigan are vast. Since there are so many, we understand that it can be a bit challenging to find what you're looking for. Based on inquiries we have received through Campus Information, we have compiled a quick reference list of resources that we think can help with your academic related needs.

We also have Resource Navigators, a team of undergraduate and graduate students who provide encyclopedic wayfinding at U-M. They're available for quick appointments, in-person or virtual, to help you find the information you need. Check them out!

Academic Advising

This header will take you to a comprehensive listing of cross-campus advising offices. If you are looking for help with class registration, planning out the courses you need to take, or determining your major, we encourage you to speak with an academic advisor associated with your major/minor in our 19 schools and colleges. This quick link will take you to the umich.edu search page for all listings. Need help finding yours? Talk to a Resource Navigator. We can help.

Study Spots

There are many spots to study on campus, whether in a group, in the library, at tables, in easy chairs, even in neurodivergent spaces. Click the link above to find the latest on study spots across campus--there are even a few ways to reserve a spot for yourself!

Health & Well-Being Resources

Well-being is an extension of doing well in the classroom. U-M takes this aspect of Student Life seriously, having joined the Okanagan Charter in 2021, along with seven other U.S. universities. For resources that can support you in your physical, emotional, spiritual, financial, intellectual, occupational, social, and environmental wellness, check out the link above.
