A New beginning, a Continuing Tradition - University of Michigan logo

It’s the most wonderful time of the year - welcome week!  One of the highlights of this week is Meijer Mania.  Meijer is one of the largest supermarket stores in the area offering many items from apples to iPads and everything in between.  During the beginning of the school year, Meijer hosts a night filled with fun activities and free goodies for University of Michigan students.  Thats right, Meijer gives away free stuff to students who attend the event! And did I mention free food?  Meijer Mania has everything that college students - free items, free food, coupon giveaways, and prizes - what’s not to love about this event?

The university even provides transportation for students to attend this event.  Michigan Blue Busses pick up students at Bursley on North Campus, Mary Markley, and the Michigan Union.  Meijer Mania takes place from 9pm-1am on Friday, August 30 at the Meijer on Ann Arbor-Saline Road.  For more information, check out the Meijer Mania Facebook page or contact the Office of New Student Programs. Make this a priority on your list of events to attend tomorrow!

Wishing you a merry Meijer Mania,

Hi, I'm Rachel! I am a junior who is majoring in Spanish and doing other Pre-Med classes. I want to go to medical school eventually, although I'm not sure when. I love traveling and one day hope to work abroad and use my Spanish. I started working with CIC recently and it has been great so far! I am involved in a few groups on campus like ATRAVES and CSG. I absolutely love Ann Arbor and have really learned how much it has to offer by working here.
