About Michigan Stadium:
The original Michigan Stadium was completed in 1927 at a cost of over $950,000. The original stadium held 72,000 fans, but later expansions have raised that number to the current 109,901 capacity.
Michigan stadium attendance consistently breaks NCAA records, leading the nation in attendance in 24 of the last 25 seasons.
For more detailed information about the stadium, including seating, parking and free guided tours, please look at the Athletic Department website.
Please note that the stadium is not open for drop-in viewing. If you would like to schedule a tour of the Big House, please contact Bill Austin with the Athletic Department.
