Ann Arbor art fair crowd

As an Ann Arbor local, the return of the Art Fair is always a little bittersweet. The wonderful art, events, food, street sales and fantastic people watching are something I always look forward to.  Despite street closings and about a half of a million people in the city, the sidewalk sales are something for locals and visitors to enjoy!

The street sales are definitely some of my favorite parts about the Art Fair (other than the art, of course).  Shops all over Ann Arbor plan out sales specifically for the Art Fair crowd, and it would be silly not to take advantage of some of the deals that show themselves for just a few days every year.

The State Street Art Fair stands out in particular, where the likes of Urban Outfitters, Pitaya, American Apparel, and Orchid Lane all have prime real estate behind art tents down State and Liberty Streets.

No matter what your taste in retail is, keep an eye out behind the tents for some awesome deals and souvenirs!

Happy shopping,

Sadie
