My name is Madeline, I am a senior in the Architecture school and am also minoring in Art History. Aside from being an Information Assistant at Campus Information Centers and involved in other various organizations around campus, I am also a member of Greek Life. Becoming a part of this community has opened up many opportunities for me and has introduced me to a huge group of people and experiences here at the university. I’m excited to share some of these in this blog!
Winter Sports: Keeping Spirit Up Beyond Football Season
Though football season may be over, that doesn’t mean you have to spend your weekends searching for something fun to do besides the same old crawl down South U. In fact, UM has a number of highly ranked sports teams that you can go show your support for if you’re missing the rush of fall tailgating.
The two most popular winter sports that take place during the winter semester are ice hockey and basketball. Our highly ranked basketball team still has a number of home games left in the season. You can find their schedule and more information on the team here:

If hockey is more up your alley, the UM Ice Hockey team usually has about two games a week, many of which take place just down State Street at Yost Ice Arena. More information about the team can be found here:

So if you miss the cheers, the suspense, or the face-painting, don’t wait until fall to show your spirit!
Go Blue,
Phoebe
